Welcome M.U.G.E.N. fans. Thank goodness Elecbyte and its MUGEN engine are finally revived. I remember the old days during the late 1990's to 2000's VS fighting boom, with Mugen as a noteworthy 2D game tool for DOS. A lot of early character, stage, and pack creators are retired now, they've already grown up. Yet their works are still available on the net for downloading. Quite fascinating (and favorable to every fan), don't you think? Like every Mugen player or character collector, you want more palettes (.act) for your classic characters which may have only 2 available colors or with unpleasant additional ones. Here are some of my personal creations for certain characters. I prioritize making palettes which are close to the original itself. For example, since Colossus has red padding, briefs and boots, I prefer the shades of orange, magenta and pink, and I avoid the likes of blue and green. There are characters though which the above preference is just inapplicable, so deviations are necessary. I tried to make the default palettes look better, therefore you may opt to replace them with mine. Create backups first of course. Choose the ones you like best, as you don't have to use all my provided act files per character. Archives are of 7-Zip format (.7z), use free managers like 7-Zip, IZarc, PeaZip, TUGZip, ZipGenius, Bitser, FreeArc, or Universal Extractor to extract them. I'm not accurate with the color names I used as descriptions. You may offer yours by commenting. More color tables for more characters soon. And, thanks to the many authors who made the characters below come to life. They did very hard work and deserve praises.
We now have a sixth palette (no. 4 above). I can't think of an appropriate label, so it's nile green for now.
I have also changed the colors of the strikers (helpers) namely Genety (Mack), Hoover (Babyhead) and Sho (Ginzu). It should prevent confusion when 2 to 4 players have their strikers simultaneously appearing on screen. No duplicate colors just like for Capt. Commando himself.
This is probably one of my very first palette sets. I can't remember my specific first, but this is definitely one of them.
(probably will work with T. Vinceson's edition)
One difficult sprite to create new palettes for. His color table is fragmented and hence may miss spots. I found out the archive was missing the violet + magenta, which is now included. All palettes are updated.
Hard to come up with new ones. I ended only with three.
(might also work with Dr. Doom by Juan Carlos)
After I finished this set, I felt a little bit rewarded. I think I just made the right blend of the cloth and metal colors.
When I started creating for this character, I imagined it would be easy since I successfully filled the six slots for Psylocke. If I can make such for Psylocke, so with Elektra I thought. But after a while I was stuck with just three additions. Thankfully now all six slots are filled.
This Bison set is one of my favorites. Similar to Sunboy's Psylocke, I tried enough to make 5th and 6th .act files to complete the 6-button layout typical for Capcom fighters.
This set is one of my faves and the first of my Psylocke series. Before, I only ended up with five. I was unsatisfied until I made a sixth one. I came up with steel blue.
