Welcome Mortal Kombat Project fans! On this post are my self-created palettes (.act) for some MKP characters. They are intended for version 4.1, but should also or might work with third-party editions. Anyway, thanks to the people who made the Project come to life. They did very hard work and deserve praises. As I have done with my Mugen palettes, I prioritize using shades close to the original itself, but I find it hard to do so for digitized sprites. Most difficult are for the many identical ninjas. Let's say, If you have red-pants-Liu Kang, you can color it blue to have a blue-pants variant of him and he would still be himself. You can also give him a green or orange and he's still the same man. But for the ninjas, you can't color say Scorpion the same way above. If you turn him blue, he would mistakenly become Sub-Zero. If you turn him green then he'd be Reptile. I tried to make the default palettes look better, therefore you may opt to replace them with mine. Create backups first of course. Choose the ones you like best, as you don't have to use all my provided act files per character. Archives are of 7-Zip format (.7z), use free managers like 7-Zip, IZarc, PeaZip, TUGZip, ZipGenius, Bitser, FreeArc, or Universal Extractor to extract them. I'm not accurate with the color names, I just used them as descriptions. More color tables for more characters soon. If you want to download the official MKP, you can get it at RatonMalo's MKProject site. I've seen an image there that MKP 5.1 would be out in 2009 but its download section only has 4.1 yet. I've seen downloadable 5.1 and 4.3 versions on other sites though I'm not sure if they're official ones.
Some characters like Kabal can't be given colors so different from what he already has. Blue or green pants for example, would also render some parts of his flesh, blue or green. That's why only shades of orange, pink and yellow (khaki), which are close to his skin color can be used.
Some characters like Shao Kahn can't be given colors so different from what he already has. Blue or green armor plates for example, would also render some parts of his flesh, blue or green. That's why only shades of orange, magenta and brown, which are close to his skin color can be used.
